Ends of the Earth Ministries
Currently there are about seven thousand tribes, language groups, people groups or nations that do not have a church in their culture. Roughly half of these nations have never heard the name of Jesus even once!

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations." (MT 28:19 HSCB)  "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." (MT 28:14 NKJV)  If these seven thousand unreached tribes or nations could be reached with technology such as television, radio or internet they would have been evangelized years ago, however the "make disciples" part of the great commission would still not have happened and an established group of disciples meeting as a church in their culture would still not exist.  These nations or tribes will be evangelized, discipled and churches planted in their culture when people of God obey Him and go. The unreached tribes have proven to be resistant, so those going should be from a culture that is similar and they must be full of the Holy Spirit and firmly grounded in the Word. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8 HCSB)  I am a firm believer in the idea that the church in the west must help train national missionaries close in culture, language and proximity to these seven thousand tribes that have not been evangelized or discipled and assembled into a church of their own language and culture.

VIETNAM MISSION TRIP, A GOOD REPORT

Vietnam went better than even I had expected and my expectations were high! I was honored to be the graduation speaker at an underground Bible School, but once graduation was over we then launched into a Word and Spirit seminar for the remainder of the day for the graduates and all who were in attendance. Roger Langworthy flew in that evening and the next day being Sunday, he preached in one Church and I in another.  We saw salvations, healings and many filled with the Holy Spirit. The following week Roger and I taught close to six hours per day to the new class, but because the granduates had not had these new courses they also attended, even sat for the exams. I don't know of too many places where graduates would attend a seminar and a week of new teaching after they have the diploma in their hand.  Vietnamese Christians are some of the most hungry, dedicated and committed believers I've ever been around!  Pastor Nam is now duplicating the Bible School in two more cities with two of the recent graduates taking on teaching and administration roles.  We now have three Vietnamese ministers licensed with AFCM and an open door to do so much more.

I met the father of one of our new AFCM members at the graduation service, he also stayed for the week of teaching.  I found out that this man had taken the students on mission trips into the mountains where several tribal groups are located.  He has always had a heart for reaching the nations and has been involved in planting several Churches among these groups.  Even though he has been arrested and imprisoned twice for his past missionary efforts he has no plans of curtailing his activities and in fact wants to work more closely with Pastor Nam in the evangelism and discipleship of the remaining sixty eight unreached people groups of Vietnam.

During the last day of my stay, I had quality time with Pastor Nam talking about what the Lord is doing and wanting to do in Vietnam.  Pastor Nam has been an AFCM member for just one year and he told me how it has already greatly impacted his ministry.  Before joining he had to seek out students to attend his Bible School, but after coming under the covering of AFCM more doors of opportunity have opened than he has time to go through.  New students are tracking him down and Churches are calling, asking him to bring the Bible School to their location.  He is not advertising his AFCM membership; nobody there would know what it means anyway, but because he has willingly submitted to his covering the anointing on AFCM to start new things and open doors is all over him and he recognizes it.  It's such a joy to go into a new (for us) country and find leaders who are already on the same page, people of like precious faith with a passion for going after the Great Commission!

As stated in other newsletters, please do not share any of the Vietnam information on social media.  We must keep a low profile while working in this communist nation as the Bible Schools and Churches we work with are all underground.

Coming Up, Two AFCM Family Reunions In Peru

Last year we helped with the 8th annual reunion in Peru and had over 500 people from 22 villages come, which was good, but there are another 48 Churches from as many villages that need to have access to these meetings as well.  So this year we're going to help with two reunions to give more Pastors, Church Leaders and Villages an opportunity to come together for fellowship, teaching and Holy Spirit ministry.  A team is coming together to help Ron and Annette Thiesen with the following:
Oct. 4 - 7 AFCM  Family Reunion in Santa Clotilde up the Napo River.
Oct. 11-14 AFCM Family Reunion in Iquitos on the Amazon River.
Before the reunions start Liz and I will be up in the Andes Mountains near Cusco teaching and preaching for Willy and Jessica Mont in their Bible School and Church form Sept 29th through Oct 2nd.  And after the reunions, Liz will be ministering with Annette at a Daughters of Destiny conference in Lima on Oct 14th and 15th.  It's going to be a busy 3 weeks of travel and ministry, please pray!!!

Five Reunions in the Philippines and Ministry in Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam

Okay, a wave of travel weariness just tried to invade me while writing that headline, but by taping into the grace of God through faith and the prayers of our partners we can do it!!!  We're still working out the details of this trip to Asia, but this much we know, we return from Peru on Oct 16th and leave for the Philippines on Nov 2nd.  The leadership of AFCM Philippines is currently putting the schedule together that will take us to minister in Family Reunions in Baguio on the north island of Luzon, General Santos City and Davao on the big south island of Mindanao and in Bacolod and Roxas on the central islands. Last year these AFCM conferences were a tremendous success in connecting ministers through the word of faith and this year we're expecting even more.  Our theme for these meetings comes from the last part of Luke 3:16, "He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire" and we're confident this will take place on a large scale.

We will then fly into Nepal and minister in Kathmandu and Surkhet before starting the trip home with stops in Thailand and Vietnam.  We might arrive home a few days before Christmas, or we may just stay in Asia for Christmas depending on how much we can fit in before.  Please pray with us over all the details; travel, ministry and financial and that we again have our steps ordered of the Lord walking through doors of opportunity that He has put before us.
